Our Expertise
Collaborative research and evaluation
Since 1982, we've led collaborative research and evaluation across Canada and internationally, supporting over 500 community-based projects.
IRCC-funded services
We have provided services to hundreds of service provider organizations (SPOs), Local Immigration Partnerships (LIPs), and Networks across Canada.
Newcomer lived-experience
Over 70 newcomer settlement and integration focused projects, centring the knowledge and expertise of newcomers.
Equity
We are informed by regular partnerships with equity-deserving groups and we focus on building Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) capacity across sectors.
Innovation
Our IRCC-funded projects have contributed to innovation in the settlement sector, including through numerous Service Delivery Improvements (SDI) grants. We have also been part of launching some of Canada’s first LIPs.
Gender-Based Analysis Plus (GBA+)
Our goal is to foster an environment where all partners are equipped to integrate GBA+ into the design, implementation, and evaluation of their work, ultimately improving service delivery and policy outcomes across the board.
Our Community-Based Approach to Evaluation
Community-driven
Evaluation driven by you and those affected by your work.
Participatory
Meaningfully involving interested/affected parties throughout the evaluation.
Action-oriented
Creating actionable results for effective decision-making.

We teach about this approach on campus and to community practitioners and policy-makers alike. We write about this approach in scholarly journals. We have implemented evaluation capacity-building initiatives using this approach regionally (e.g., Peel United Way), provincially (e.g., Ontario Brain Institute), and nationally (e.g., Evaluation Capacity Network).
